The two weeks in South America were so memorable. John and I enjoyed every moment. It was so well organised and yet seemed so natural – things just seemed to happen at the right time. The universe just attended to our needs as and when necessary. From the first moments at Heathrow airport early on that Thursday morning I knew we were going to enjoy the whole trip. I might not possess the gift of seeing people’s auras but I have good intuition about sensing when things are just right!

The Chile option: The Ancient country of Chile holds many marvellous energy sites and awe-inspiring scenery. Join Sandra for sacred time in The Torres del Paine National Park with its wonderful glaciers, waterfalls and wildlife. Visit the historic city of Santiago. In Punta Arenas learn about the native Indians: the Yaganas, Onas and Alacalufes. Wildlife enthusiasts will love the penguin colony.

Further options available: The Galapagos Islands option: Discovered by Darwin in 1835, and now one of the most important natural history sites in the world, the Galapagos Islands are located approximately 1000 km west of Ecuador and comprise of 13 main islands and 6 smaller ones. These islands, isolated since pre-historical times, are a fragile International Conservation area, and have their own unique flora and fauna, which helped inspire Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. Over 60% of the bird-life is found nowhere else on the planet. The fauna include Giant Tortoises and Iguanas, red-footed and blue-footed Boobies, Frigate birds and many others. Enjoy the weird and wonderful creatures, the crystal clear water and the amazing stark beauty of the prehistoric volcanic formations and unique ecology as a fascinating and unusual optional Extension to our Peru journey.Please enquire for proposed itinerary for the Galapagos option. The Brazil & Argentina option:
Brazil - Brazilians say that God created the world in six days and on the seventh, he created the city of Rio. And on first sight this seems perfectly believable as this city is beautifully situated between the mountains and the sea. Although best known for the famous Copacabana beach and its spectacular Carnival, there are also many fine buildings and museums, as well as the statue of Christ (Sugar Loaf) to admire.
Rio Grande do Sul, in the south, is the land of Brazil’s gauchos and vineyards but the main focus for us of this region is Iguassu Falls. These Falls are among the biggest and most spectacular in the world. So huge in face that they make Niagara Falls look like a dripping tap! The walks and views throughout this rainforest area is nothing short of an awe-inspiring experience.

Argentina is geared up to thrill from nights tangoing in the chic quarter of Buenos Aires to gaucho riding in the grasslands of the Pampas.
This is the stomping ground of Maradona, the source of Evita worship, the birthplace of the revolutionary Che Guevara, a meteorite museum and home to the most southerly city in the world. Dynamic and bustling a city which seems never to sleep, Buenos Aires is one of the most exciting cities in Latin America. Restaurants serve all manner of world cuisine, bars play the latest music, cafes spill on to the streets and nightclubs allow dancing throughout the night. A cultural hub of society that traces its roots to European immigration, it is famous throughout South America for its theatres, museums and galleries. Shops that line the boulevards cater for the fashion conscious. Bordered by the Andes, this country is a truly splendid feast for the eyes.

Brazil is home to the world famous spiritual healer, John of God, and Sandra Straw regularly takes groups from the UK to see him at 'the Casa'. It may be possible to extend your South American tour even further to include a visit to John of God. It is not only the chronically ill who visit but also those sincerely seeking spiritual sustenance.
